Regular Sunday morning gay liberation theology class This thriving class meets to read and discuss books on gay theology and includes both LGBT and straight, Lake Avenue members and non-members. All are welcome. American Baptists Concerned of the Rochester Area A confidential support group for LGBT Baptists and their friends and family, this group is composed of individuals from throughout the Rochester/Genesee Region. It meets the third Monday of every month at 7:30 p.m. at Webster House across from the church at 57 Ambrose St. Speaker series on "Christian Faith and LGBT Experience" Twice each year, Lake Avenue, along with two Presbyterian churches and the Women's Program at Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School, brings to Rochester a nationally recognized speaker who shares with the Rochester LGBT Christian community and friends some of the exciting new work being done in LGBT theology. Hospitality Lake Avenue regularly hosts events sponsored by the Gay Alliance of the Genesee Valley, the Rochester Gay Men's Chorus, the Rochester Women's Community Chorus, and other LGBT-related organizations.
