| Lake Avenue Baptist Church supports the mission and ministry of the American Baptist Churches USA, the National Council of Churches, and the World Council of Churches. The International Ministries of ABCUSA are conducted in partnerships with various Baptist bodies and other church groups around the world. Our international ministries work includes a wide variety of efforts ranging from evangelism to health care to work with refugees and outreach efforts with the urban and rural poor in many nations. In the past a number of LABC members have been commissioned as international missionaries. Around the world we support physicians, teachers, pastors and relief workers, both North American and those working in their native lands. Church World Service, an ecumenical agency provides disaster relief, agricultural work and other forms of work in partnership with local groups. |
