Pipe Organ
Find out more about the Holtkamp pipe organ, built in 1975...
The pipe organ at LABC was built in 1975 by the Holtkamp Organ Company of Cleveland, Ohio. It is a two manual electro-pneumatic type instrument with eighteen ranks of pipes distributed among its Great, Swell and Pedal divisions. The console is on a moveable platform, allowing flexibility of the location of singers, musicians, director, and organist. Our unusual-shaped sanctuary was conceived to include the new pipe organ, and as a result, the placement and voicing of the organ are a perfect match for the favorable acoustics of the room.
