OUR CHURCH GOVERNANCE
In keeping with traditional Baptist polity, the congregation acting as a corporate body is vested with ultimate authority over the life of the church. Regular congregational meetings are held quarterly.
Execute and administrative responsibility for the congregation is delegated to the Vision Coordinating Council (VCC). The VCC serves the church in shepherding the "Guiding Vision" by leading the congregation to live out God's vision for LABC. It coordinates the work of the six designated ministry teams, and, encourages the congregation to respond to God's calling to new areas of ministry.
Members of the VCC are the elected officers of the church. They include the
Moderator, Treasurer, and Church Clerk, and the Coordinators for the six Ministry Teams (who also serve for legal purposes as Trustees of the church).
