WELCOME!
Welcome to Lake Avenue Baptist Church, a unique American Baptist Church, that responds
to Jesus’ call by practicing Gospel hospitality, Christian mission, and ministries
of care, education, inspiration, and reconciliation. Several hundred people find
a spiritual home here. We speak English and French, Burmese and Chin, Karen, Kachin
and Karenni. Here and there you will also hear Spanish or German. With African-
145 years ago our congregation began as a mission to our neighborhood and we continue today to be a “mission” church!
