LAKE AVENUE BAPTIST CHURCH CALLS NEW SENIOR PASTOR

By unanimous vote of the congregation on Sunday, January 29th, the Rev. Michael Ford has been called to serve as Senior Pastor of Lake Avenue Baptist Church!

Rev. Ford visited with us and met with the Vision Coordinating Council, the leaders of four ethnic groups within the church, and members of the Welcoming and Affirming Committee.  He also attended a "get acquainted" pot-luck banquet at the church on Saturday evening when he spoke at some length about his faith journey, previous pastoral experience, sense of God's call to LABC, and some personal and family background.  We anticipate that Rev. Ford will begin serving here shortly after Easter Sunday and are excited about this new chapter in the life of our church.
